DESCRIPTION

We provide challenges for all archers, beginner to advanced

Shoot a longbow safely and instinctively

• Hone marksmanship and accuracy with stationary & moving targets

• Practice in community with instructors & other youth

• Play exciting action games with safe, foam-padded arrows

• Listen to engaging stories of archery history and lore

• Develop Forest Wisdom through the eyes of the tracker & scout

• Experience the teachings of the Heartful Hunter and the Peaceful Warrior

DETAILS

• BOYS Aged 8-14, with limited spots open for teen mentors-in-training

• COST $360 (sibling discount – 25% off)

• Rent a high-quality longbow from us for $90 for the year

• Limited scholarships available

Girls' Outdoor Competence & Archery Monthly Program (GOCAMP)

DESCRIPTION

• All skill levels welcome!

• Shoot a longbow safely and instinctively

• Practical outdoor skills like fire and shelter

• Play exciting games with safe foam-padded arrows

• Explore the forest and the farm

• Develop Forest Wisdom through the eyes of the tracker & scout

• Girls' group builds confidence and teamwork

• Instructors Senia and Alexia have years of outdoor experience

• AGES 8-14

• COST $360 (sibling discount – 25% off)

• Practice hands-on wilderness survival and homestead skills like making fire,          building shelter, & gathering and preserving food

• Hand-make your own cool crafts

• Develop local naturalist knowledge

• Play games and have fun

• Co-operate in Community

• Observe the lessons of the seasons

• Learn from awesome instructors in a small group mentoring setting

• BOYS Ages 8-13; Enrollment 8 students, to enable social distancing

• Program runs 9 am - 3 pm on the first Sunday of each month: Oct 4, Nov 1, Dec 6, 2020; Jan 3, Feb 7, Mar 7, Apr 4, & May 2, 2021

• TUITION $400 (full program) $50 refund per session cancelled due to covid restrictions

 Scholarships available - these skills are for everyone

• BOW and ARROW RENTAL: a high-quality longbow from us for $90 for all sessions

Farming with Horses!

Driving horses for youth ages 14-18.

DESCRIPTION

• Great Mentoring Ratio! 2 students with 1 instructor 

• Learn to drive our ponies safely

• Be close to wonderful horses in a totally outdoor setting

• Be supported in leadership and communication

• Accomplish powerful tasks on a working farm

• Hands-on horse time and lots of fun!

• Instructor Alexia has decades of horse experience and ongoing mentoring     from natural horsemanship leader Doc Hammill

• AGES 14-18, ALL GENDERS WELCOME

• TUITION $280 for 7 weekly sessions

• RUNS Monday, 2 - 4 pm, October 5, 12, 19, 26 and November 2, 9, & 16, 2020

• Sturdy boots and outdoor clothes required.  We may do limited horse-riding,      if so we provide a helmet if participant needs one.

Teens' Nature Skills and Archery Monthly - For All Genders

DESCRIPTION

• Get active and get outside!

• Shoot bows and arrows at a wide variety of targets 

• Play archery tag games with safe foam-padded arrows

• Develop helpful nature skills like fire-making, shelter building, & plant and animal i.d.

• Challenge yourself with powerful, practical, wilderness lessons

• Practice leadership and communication with your peers

• Work hands-on crafting projects like containers, cords, and carving

• Explore the mythic mind and mentoring realms through songs and stories

• ALL GENDERS WELCOME; AGES 14-18, max enrollment 8 for social distancing

• Program runs 9 am - 3 pm on the First Saturday of each month: 

 Oct 3, Nov 7, Dec 5, 2020; Jan 2, Feb 6, March 6, Apr 3, & May 1, 2021.

• Get ready to run a farm!

• 1 to 4 ratio, with skilled instructors

DETAILS

• GIRLS, ages 10 - 15

• COST $180, and no one turned away for lack of funds!

• PROGRAM RUNS 2 - 5 pm, 5 Thursdays, October 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2020

• Boots, gloves and outdoor wear required

Archery, Building & Nature Skills

Mentoring

DESCRIPTION

• All Sessions Held Completely Outdoors

• Experience small group mentoring with skilled instructors: 1 to 4 ratio

• Choose your own projects and learning journey based on curiosity and passion

• Develop communication and social skills through shared work

• NATURE SKILLS: Get outside and be nature connected with forest adventures, fire-making, shelter-building, animal/plant lore, hand-crafting and other wilderness skills

• CREATIVE CAPENTRY: Design and build useful, interesting structures, learn tool use through hands-on projects, experience solo and group projects

• ARCHERY: Learn about archery, shoot bows and arrows at a variety of targets, play exciting archery games, practice hunting with safe foam-padded arrows
